Spice Drinks: How to add spice to coffee, tea, and a variety of other beverages

Spice Drinks

Nestled in the hills of a small island in the Caribbean called Saba is the birthplace of a wonderful drink called Saba Spice.

I tried it over 20 years ago while on a Windjammer Cruise that stopped in Saba. I still remember it.

To my knowledge, it is still only available on the island of Saba.

Was it the spices that made it so appealing or the 151 proof rum? Actually, it was definitely the intoxicating blend of spices.

Did you know that Cinnamon can improve your memory and focus? Maybe that's why I still remember Saba Spice!

This section of the Spice Simply web-site is dedicated to the island of Saba where I first became intrigued by spices.

Spices and herbs add flavor and variety to many beverages. For example, try this easy recipe for Spiced Cider. For another type of spiced beverage, you may want to try the recipe for Iced Spiced Coffee or for a soothing choice, try the recipe for Healthy Spiced Tea.

A favorite holiday drink that is available in stores but can also be made easily using this recipe is Egg Nog.
