Holiday Spiced Cider Recipe

This easy recipe for spiced cider is good for people who prefer a non-alcoholic but warm and spicy beverage.

  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 3 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 6 pieces of whole allspice
  • 2 teaspoons of nutmeg
  • 2 sliced and unpeeled oranges
  • 2 sliced and unpeeled lemons


Combine ingredients in a large pot (or crock pot) and let sit for a few hours. Then, simmer for several hours. This works well in the crock pot if you want to prepare and heat slowly during the day.

This warm beverage is perfect to enjoy by the fireplace with family and friends. Serve with

Gingerbread Cookies or Gingerbread Mini Muffins.
